Overview:
This project is destined for the exhibition tour scene in
East Anglia, London and possibly Scotland.
Applications for funding are already being sought through
various arts organizations, as well as space for an
exhibition.
WOMAN is the subject.
“A series of 13 images depicting the rise of ‘woman’ through
time, to the powerful force they are today. Initially woman is
depicted in water, and cocooned in material. This could be a
pool, lake, or river, or at the edge of the sea.
The progress of ‘woman’ sees her move inland and upwards,
gaining altitude as well as attitude, and gradually losing the
cocoon and revealing the glory of the female form beneath.
The analogy is one of progressive freedom and emancipation,
culminating on the top of a hill or mountain in a glorious
display of the female form free from all inhibitions, the
cocoon flying away in the wind.” JAY
